Simplified Horn Connector
Simplified horn connectors are commonly referred to as: simple horn connectors , which typically consist of a square plastic socket and several neatly arranged square pins. The difference between simple horn connectors and horn connectors is that simplified horn connectors have the retaining clips on both sides removed.
Classification of simple horn connectors: Simple horn connectors are classified by PIN pitch into 1.27mm pitch simple horn, 2.0mm pitch simple horn, and 2.54mm pitch simple horn; depending on the pitch, the diameter of the square pin headers used also changes accordingly; by mounting type, they are further divided into straight-pin simple horn, right-angle simple horn, and SMT surface-mount simple horn.
Function of simple horn connectors: After being soldered onto a PCB board, simple horn connectors connect to IDC ribbon cables of the corresponding specification, and then form, together with other circuits, the circuit connection method required by the designer. They are usually used to transmit control signals and weak currents.
Applications of simple horn connectors: The products are widely used in computer motherboards, LCD monitors, telecom cards, memory, mobile hard drives, card readers, digital cameras, MP3, PDA, LCD TVs, switches, car anti-theft devices, videophones, cordless phones, and various communication equipment products.
